Public Area Assistant

About Us:

Salthill Hotel, a proud member of the Byrne Hotel Group, is a four-star property overlooking the stunning Galway Bay, celebrated for its warm hospitality and exceptional standards. We are currently seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Morning Public Area Assistant to carry out deep cleaning duties throughout the hotel during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Accommodation Manager
• Carry out scheduled deep cleaning of all public areas including lobbies, restrooms, corridors, stairwells, and function spaces.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly (training provided).
• Ensure floors, carpets, glass, and surfaces are maintained to the highest standard.
• Complete periodic cleaning tasks such as polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming, and sanitising.
• Work efficiently to ensure all deep cleaning tasks are completed within set timeframes.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial roles is an advantage, but not essential (full training provided).
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
