Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a Public Health Dietitian who will be Responsible for delivering dietetic and nutrition support to chronic disease, aged care and NDIS clients in the Miwatj region. Responsible for delivering public health nutrition services to the Miwatj region in line with the Miwatj Food Security and Nutrition Strategy 2020-2024. This is Full-time, fixed term role ending on 30th of June 2025.
Successful applicants will have access to a range of benefits, including:
- A competitive base salary of $74,571 - $80,252 per annum
- 11.5% Superannuation
- Ability to salary package up to $15,900 per annum plus a further $2,650 per annum on Meals and Entertainment

About Miwatj
Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate must have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yolŋu people living in remote settings and understanding of the issues faced by Yolngu people living in remote settings; Demonstrate awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture experience working effectively with people of diverse cultural and social backgrounds; Tertiary qualification in nutrition and/or dietetics and current Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia (DA).
