About the opportunity
Pan Pac’s Pulp division is a major player in mechanical wood pulp manufacturing, supplying customers across New Zealand and 11 international markets. We are looking for a Pulp Administrator to provide essential administrative support to our senior managers and wider pulp team.
Based on-site in our operational offices, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Pulp General Manager, your responsibilities will be a mix of fixed, regular, and variable tasks. Key Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Managing and responding to emails
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports in line with divisional schedules
- Organising, attending, and taking minutes for meetings
- Maintaining the Pulp document database in SharePoint
- Overseeing office management tasks
- Handling compliance and health & safety administration
- Acting as the go-to expert for databases and systems within the division
- Participating in the OSH committee
- Assisting with project work as needed
This role is full-time, Monday – Friday, based at our Whirinaki site located 15 mins north of Napier.

About you
You bring at least three years of experience in administration, data entry, or accounts, delivering high-quality and professional support.
You also have:
- A strong understanding of Office 365 and SharePoint functionality
- Excellent planning, organization, and multitasking skills to meet deadlines
- A logical and detail-oriented approach to work
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and urgent requests
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A customer-focused mindset
- Effective time management and prioritization abilities
- Confidence in working with people at all levels across an organization
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred)
This is not your typical corporate office—you’ll be working in a hands-on, blue-collar environment, so you’ll need to be comfortable in this setting.
