Position Summary

The Pump Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and supporting medical pump systems used in medical testing and diagnostic applications. This role ensures products are built, tested, and maintained in compliance with ISO 13485 quality management system requirements and internal manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble pump systems, subassemblies, and related components in accordance with work instructions and controlled documentation.
  • Perform functional testing, calibration, and verification of completed units.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues at both the assembly and system levels.
  • Conduct in-process and final quality inspections to ensure product conformity.
  • Accurately document assembly steps, test results, deviations, and repairs in accordance with quality requirements.
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and non-conformance reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams for service issues and customer returns.
  • Maintain traceability of components, assemblies, and test data in line with quality system requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with SOPs and safety guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Technology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic or electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of quality-controlled manufacturing environments.

Technical Skills

  • Digital Multimeters (DMM)
  • Oscilloscopes
  • SMD level soldering skills
  • Power Supplies
  • Basic mechanical tools and assembly techniques

Quality & Compliance (ISO 13485)

  • Adhere to ISO 13485 quality management system requirements.
  • Follow controlled work instructions and documented procedures accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records to support traceability and audit readiness.
  • Recognize and escalate non-conformance issues in accordance with procedures.
  • Support device safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance expectations.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
