• Order Processing: Prepare, review, and process purchase orders (POs) while ensuring accuracy in pricing and item specifications.
• Vendor Management: Research potential suppliers, evaluate offers, and assist in negotiating pricing and delivery terms.
• Logistics & Tracking: Monitor order statuses, track shipments, and coordinate with warehouses to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, analyze purchasing trends, and alert management to low stock or supply shortages.
• Record Keeping: Update and maintain purchasing databases, verify invoices, and resolve discrepancies in shipments or billing.
• Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: A high school diploma or GED is generally required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is often preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or inventory management software.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for negotiating and collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors.
• Organization: High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to prevent supply chain delays.
