Purchasing Agent

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that our supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of inventory management, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
• Utilize Tekla PowerFab effective materials management.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.

Experience

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles, preferably within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management practices and materials management principles.
• Proficient in Tekla PowerFab Inventory Management or similar software tools.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
• Experience in production planning is a plus; understanding of e-commerce dynamics is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $52,599.00 - $56,730.00 per year
