Position Summary
We are seeking a career-minded individual with strong purchasing and customer service experience, in all areas specific to CNC tool distribution. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service support that includes order entry, quoting, purchasing, expediting, and database update and management. Multi-tasking throughout the day, to also include shipping, receiving, and warehouse responsibilities. This is a full-time in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to customers and sales staff.
- Assist customers and sales staff in selecting products based on product specifications and machining applications.
- Order entry, respond to customer requests for pricing, availability, order status, and prepare quotations for special and standard tooling.
- Place purchase orders for non-stock and stock items.
- Database management and daily updating.
- Review, track and expedite open customer and vendor purchase orders.
- Resolve problems for customers and sales staff promptly.
- Complete administrative tasks including reports and updating spreadsheets.
- Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible customer service experience.
- Purchasing and inventory management support
- Picking and shipping of orders.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years inside sales/customer service role in an CNC Tool distributor environment, understanding metal cutting tools, tooling applications related to the aerospace, automotive, or general manufacturing environment.
- QuickBooks Enterprise experience – to include database management in all areas of Quickbooks, specific to customer, vendor, and inventory. A strong understanding of advanced inventory, advanced reporting, and purchasing features would be considered an asset.
- Excellent oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to react well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment and follow through on commitments, fast and accurate data entry skills.
- Must be team-oriented, able to work collaboratively and also independently.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office (primarily Excel, Word, MS Outlook)
- Must be able to lift products that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Has a valid Ontario driver's license and can make local deliveries when needed.
- Works well in an open concept office environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
