Strong purchasing controls and efficient logistics are central to ensuring materials are available where and when required, supporting safe, on-time, and cost-effective project delivery.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Specialist to join our Dublin office. This role plays a key part in managing the procurement, movement, and availability of materials for fibre network build.

You will work closely with project managers, site teams & suppliers, to ensure efficient purchasing processes, accurate stock control, and reliable delivery to site and warehouse locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing activities, including raising purchase orders, supplier coordination, and order tracking
  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, including price negotiation and performance monitoring
  • Coordinate logistics and delivery of materials to sites and warehouses across Europe
  • Monitor inventory levels and support effective stock control to minimise shortages, delays, and excess stock
  • Forecast material requirements in line with project schedules and operational demand
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and delivery records within the inventory systems
  • Resolve delivery, quality, or supply issues in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams
  • Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, health & safety standards, and best practices

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or procurement
  • (experience in construction, telecoms, utilities, or infrastructure is a strong advantage)
  • Strong understanding of purchasing processes, inventory management, and logistics coordination
  • Experience using purchasing/inventory management systems
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business toolsDesirable
  • Experience supporting fibre, telecoms, or infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of Irish suppliers, couriers, and logistics providers
  • Qualification in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline

Pay: From €18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
