About The Role
Based in Narangba, QLD, the Purchasing and Scheduling Officer role is responsible for managing the master production schedule, overseeing purchasing activities, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. You’ll work closely with operations and procurement teams to ensure efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across all processes.
Key Responsibilities
Production Scheduling
Develop and maintain the master production schedule for key manufacturing operations.
Work closely with the Operations Manager to set and monitor production goals.
Adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand or supply chain constraints.
Materials Inventory Management
Forecast and manage inventory requirements to support uninterrupted production.
Conduct regular stock assessments to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams for accurate stock records.
Purchasing & Procurement
Develop purchasing plans aligned with production needs and lead times.
Source and procure raw materials and consumables, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate favourable terms.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues promptly.
Order Process Management
Oversee end-to-end factory order processing for accuracy and timeliness.
Liaise with internal teams to confirm specifications and priorities.
Track production progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
About You
Experience in purchasing and production scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of inventory management and procurement processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
