Arden Energy is seeking a Python and SQL developer, with a passion for problem solving and software development, to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but rapidly expanding electricity supplier and make a real impact on the business.

The successful candidate will work as part of a small team and have a considerable input to project design and development. Their input will be vital to the continued growth and success of the business. They will also receive training on all required aspects of the electricity market.

Initially, onsite attendance in Arden Energy’s Dublin office will be required. A hybrid approach with 3 days onsite and 2 days from home will then apply.

Responsibilities

· Develop, design and maintain automated solutions and system components

· Translate colleague/stakeholder desires and experience into project requirements

· Plan development tasks - estimating effort and project impact

· Contribute to a collaborative development environment

· Draw from previous experience and knowledge to inform project approach and technologies

· Strong documentation skills

· Ability to communicate development work in plain language

Experience

· 2+ years development experience with Python

· 2+ years experience with SQL (MySQL) database design and query development

· Experience with Python web frameworks such as Flask or Django

· Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS

· Knowledge of AWS services, or those of another cloud provider

· Extensive use of APIs. API development experience is a bonus

· Experience working in the electricity sector is a plus

Qualification

· Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €55,000.00-€65,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

• Yearly bonus
