Job Purpose

We are delighted to invite applications to apply for the position of QA Inspector at Amcor Flexibles’ Sligo, reporting to the Quality Manager. This role will support on QA tasks alongside your Shift Team Lead(s).

Positions are open to both internal and external applicants.

The successful candidate must be able to work nightshift, 22:00 - 06:00 (Monday - Thursday) and 19:00 - 01:30 (Friday).

ROLE

• Ensures the quality of products produced and alerts Quality personnel/Team Leader of any deviations from customer specification
• Quality assurance responsibilities within your operations team
• Support the resolution of quality related issues
• First off/In-process/final inspection & testing of product
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner by practicing good housekeeping
• Performs additional duties as requested by Shift Team Leader(s)/Management
• Works closely with the production and quality teams

Qualifications/Requirements

• Previous experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is an advantage
• High energy level, pragmatic, stress resistant & Flexible
• Advance computer knowledge (especially in MS Word and Excel).
• Good technical ability and aptitude / skills
• Ideally have previous experience in a quality role or a role where significant quality tasks are carried out
• Attendance & Time Management Champion
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools would be an advantage

• Excellent communication skills, team working skills & ability to work in cross functional teams

• Flexibility is a necessary and you may be requested to move between functions and work hours, work off shifts and/or weekends
• Ability to work and deal with pressure while meeting deadlines
• Comfortable with decision making once trained in the process

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €38,000.00-€41,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sligo, County Sligo: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
