McSween is currently seeking an exceptional Quality Control Inspector to join our team

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector that can test, document, troubleshoot and prepare our products for launch. The successful candidate will have a creative, innovative approach to his or her work and will never shy away from offering frank observations and recommendations. We're looking for a highly organized, methodical professional with the experience to take our products to the next level in terms of safety, security and accuracy. The position of QC Inspector reports directly to the Quality Control Manager and Field Services Manager.

The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated, energetic, pro-active leader with strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, strong people skills, industry knowledge and good business instinct are key qualities required for this position.

General knowledge in Structural, Vessel & Piping Codes and Project Administration are the foundations for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect raw material to ensure consistency and integrity.
• Test a certain percentage of all products based on industry standards.
• Identifying causes of inefficiencies, implement solutions approved by senior management.
• Manage our quality assurance division and ensure all employees meet their required quotas.
• Ability to maintain jobs independently from start to finish, which may include but not limited to the following: Review CWP’s, Create ITP’s, Receive Material, Identify and submit RFI’s, Create Hydro Packs, Maintain Welder Logs, Identify and Track Required NDE, Visual Inspections, Fill out ABSA forms, Red line and As built Drawings.
• Review Field Fabrication drawings.
• Working closely with field management to ensure coordination and integration of inspection workflow, and utilization of personnel, machines, equipment and paperwork.
• Manage and responsible for all field receiving.
• Ensuring the field staff is properly qualified, motivated and properly trained and orientated to perform required duties.
• Attend weekly safety meetings with field staff and ensure field personnel are working in safe conditions

Education / Experience:

• CWB level 2 certified
• 3+ years in quality control or quality assurance position
• Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail.
• Organized and able to complete tasks in an adequate timely manner.
• Ability to translate skills and knowledge to others.
