Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology and laboratory techniques, with proficiency in data analysis. This role involves conducting experiments, analyzing microbial samples, and contributing to innovative research projects aimed at advancing our understanding of microbial behavior and applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological experiments to study microorganisms and their interactions with various environments.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and results in compliance with laboratory protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design research studies and develop methodologies.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
• Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean working environment.
• Stay current with advancements in microbiology research and techniques.
• Examines packaging materials for conformance to specifications.
• Analyses active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients, using predetermined pharmacopeia methodologies.
• Analyses finished goods (pharmaceuticals) to ensure products are within specifications, using USP or BP testing methodology
• Water sample and finished product testing including microbiological and endotoxin testing
• Validation preparation and execution to microbiology related test methodology

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Proven laboratory experience in microbiological techniques, including culturing, staining, and microscopy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a team setting.
• A passion for research and a commitment to scientific integrity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
