Description:
This position involves regular travel across regional or multi-site facilities to perform site visits, audits, and hands-on governance reviews.
What You'll Do
Drive clinical governance: Lead enterprise-wide initiatives that elevate care quality, resident safety, and overall living experiences.
Master regulatory engagement: Serve as the confident, credible point of contact during Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission visits, accreditation, and audits.
Translate data into action: Build executive-level reporting frameworks that deliver clear insights on risk, compliance, and clinical performance.
Reporting & Governance: Collate quality data, audit results, and clinical metrics for board reporting, clinical governance committees, and regulatory bodies.
Build collaborative capability: Partner with operational and clinical teams to mentor staff, share best practices, and uplift governance maturity across all homes.
On-Site Reviews & Auditing: Conduct regular on-site quality visits, facility walkthroughs, and mock accreditation audits to inspect clinical documentation, care delivery, and operational safety.
What You Bring
Must-Haves
- Current AHPRA Registration: You are a Registered Nurse holding current AHPRA registration with no conditions.
- Aged Care Expertise: You bring 3+ years of experience in a quality and governance within the NSW aged care sector.
- Regulatory Knowledge: You possess a deep working knowledge of ACQSC Standards, aged care legislation, and contemporary clinical governance.
- Governance Leadership: You have a proven track record of driving clinical governance frameworks in complex or high-scrutiny environments.
- Strong Communication: You use data-driven insights to influence and guide stakeholders on best practice.
- Travel Requirements: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently across assigned residential facilities
- Post-Graduate Qualifications: Studies in Nursing Management, Health Administration, or Clinical Governance.
- Audit & Investigation Experience: A background leading audits, reviews, and continuous improvement systems in regulated healthcare.
