Quality And Training Coordinator, Clinical Transcription Service

About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and meticulous person to join our dynamic team working at the Patient Information Service under the Clinical Transcription Service based at Middlemore Hospital. This is a full time position working Monday to Friday.

We are looking for someone who has experience with Transcription with previous experience word processing, whose primary role is to provide quality checking, to the Transcriptionist within Counties Manukau District. The role would provide assistance with projects relating to the Transcription team (with a technical component) and also training for staff/clinicians.

In this role you will be required to;

  • To ensure confidentiality of patient information by supporting Counties Manukau District and departmental policies and procedures.
  • To be a Super User tester for functional applications.
  • To ensure all tasks assigned are completed within the expected time frame.
  • Correlation of Reports & Data
  • Auditing
  • Training of staff
  • Logistics

About you:

The ideal candidate will need to have previous experience with word processing, ideally 2 years. Other important skills this role will require are attention to detail, working under pressure, an ability to work well in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently. There are Information Technology components to this role so experience in this area is preferred. Training experience is also required as the role entails training of Clinicians as well as Transcription Staff

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can train either one on one or in groups when necessary.

The salary range is dependent on skills and experience and will be paid in line with the National Administration Collective agreement.
