Job Overview
We are in search of a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to lead the release of new pharmaceutical products into the Canadian market, ensuring compliance with Health Canada regulations. The successful candidate will oversee, ensuring all products meet stringent quality and regulatory standards. Additionally, the QA Manager will manage product relaunches to maintain compliance and align with market demands.
Duties
- Quality Management: Supervise QA operations including sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure products comply with Health Canada regulations and industry standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed on Health Canada and other regulatory guidelines, ensuring all quality control processes meet these standards.
- Product Release: Manage the timely release of new pharmaceutical products into the Canadian market, ensuring thorough compliance reviews.
- Product Relaunch: Develop and execute strategies for product relaunches, including conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain precise documentation of quality activities and generate regular reports to communicate key findings and metrics to senior management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and R&D teams to align quality control processes with business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains to enhance quality and productivity.
- Compliance Audits: Assist with internal and external quality control audits, addressing any findings and implementing corrective actions.
Skills
- Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field (B.Sc. accepted; M.Sc. or PhD preferred).
- 5 to 10 years of relevant quality experience within the Canadian pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Health Canada regulations and guidelines for pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and OTC products.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team of QA specialists.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across functional areas and organizational levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Proficiency in English communication.
