Our Company has a brand-new opportunity for a Quality Assurance Auditor to join the team for a permanent part time position. Reporting directly to Company Director and mentor by experienced consultant the successful applicant will have responsibility for ensuring full compliance for food safety legislation, SALSA standards and customer codes of practice.
Key responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Ensuring that controls are in place to meet required standards for product safety, quality and legality.
- Ensure that Quality Systems & Policies throughout the site are maintained.
- Maintain HACCP systems for all processes to ensure product safety, quality and legality.
- Control documents for the Quality Management System.
- Check, archive and maintain all site documentation and due diligence records.
- Complete all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and ready for internal and external audits and highlighting when non-conformance requires corrective action
- Manage site pest control visits and make sure all visits are carried out effectively
- Collect all relevant samples, with adherence to procedures and protocols, to ensure quality, safety and legality of products sampled
- Drive a continuous improvement approach to GMP, plant hygiene, personal hygiene and product quality issues in through internal audits.
- Provide education and training to operational colleagues and other teams to ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards
- Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team and other relevant functions ensuring they are fully aware of quality assurance activities, results and trends
What we’re looking for
- Basic Computer literate for standard office practices
- Food hygiene - level Two
- CCP training including HACCP principles for Manufacturing Unit
- Internal Audit Process; Understanding and Experience
- Allergen Awareness; Understanding of risk
- GMP; Knowledge of techniques
- Non-conformance reporting techniques
- Microbiological awareness – understanding of basic of food safety
- Basic legal labelling practice
- Basic weight legislation
Two days a week 7am-2pm or alternatively three days a week 9am-2pm, occasionally flexible time of work required to overlook night shift production or weekend shifts.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
