Description:
The Role:
As a Quality Assurance Officer at Lite n' Easy, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within the Quality department. This is a 12-month contract position (maternity leave cover, commencing approximately November 2026), working Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:06, within the Operations department, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on overall quality management at Lite n' Easy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of products and raw materials.
  • Escalate issues related to non-compliant products or results.
  • Perform sensory evaluations, visual inspections and analyses (e.g., moisture, brix, consistometer) of raw materials and finished product samples.
  • Monitor and verify critical control points (CCPs), regulatory control points (RCPs), quality control points (QCPs), and control points (CPs).
  • Inspect and verify daily start-ups, new equipment and plant conditions post-weekend work.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor and area/line leads to ensure team members understand quality and food safety expectations, providing education as needed.
About You:
  • 2-3 years' prior QA experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry, including investigations, quality analysis, and process control.
  • Formal qualifications in Food Science, highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with individuals at all organisational levels.
  • High level knowledge of the Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
