Service Foods is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join our National Support team.

Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role:

The National Quality & Compliance Coordinator will support our Quality & Compliance Lead in ensuring the continuous improvement of our quality and safety systems. In this role, you will monitor and enhance compliance processes, assist with documentation, and provide reporting support. This is a permanent, full-time role based at our National Support office in Mangere, within the heart of Tamaki Makaurau.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Quality & Compliance Lead on the continuous improvement of quality and safety systems.
  • Create and maintain quality and compliance documentation (SOPs, PIFs, Forms, Templates).
  • Review labels for homebrand products to ensure compliance with the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.
  • Support the creation and development of training programs for compliance requirements.
  • Manage supplier complaints and assist with supplier audits as part of the Approved Supplier Programme.
  • Provide food safety support to sites without an onsite Quality & Compliance Coordinator.
  • Perform general compliance administrative duties and work on projects to improve quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct internal audits across Service Foods sites, both remotely and on-site.
  • Manage compliance at the small goods site in East Tamaki in the absence of the onsite Quality & Compliance Coordinator.
  • Provide online compliance support for sites in Mangere, Wellington, and Christchurch as needed.

You will have a tertiary qualification in food safety or a related field, along with relevant experience in a similar role. Preferably, you will have experience in:

  • Project management.
  • Managing a Risk Management Programme.
  • Quality role in a meat manufacturing, produce, and/or food distribution.
  • Working within a Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence environment.
  • Halal certification
