Global Citrus Group Inc., is a privately held company and is your international citrus specialist located in Brantford, Ontario. As a leading service provider representing top growers from around the world, and the premiere supplier of citrus for grocery and big box stores in the country, we are looking for the right individual to strengthen and become part of our Quality Control Team in Brantford.

Position Overview: The role of the Quality Control Associate is an entry-level position and is a key position within the production facility at Global Citrus Group. The work of the QC Associate is to inspect the quality of all inbound and outbound commodities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and generate reports on inbound product based on industry specifications (size, weight, colour, quality etc.).
• Conduct pre and post inspection measures prior to commencement of production and upon completion of packaging.
• Adhere to all food safety and GMP guidelines.
• Verify packing information prior to production start up.
• Perform line inspections and report any non-conformances to the Supervisor/ Lead-Hand.
• Report directly to and assist Quality Control Supervisor in day-to-day operations as instructed.
• Assist in all other quality control duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous QC experience considered an asset.
• Able to lift 30-35lbs consistently, up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Computer skills.
• Comfortable operating FLT and Power Jack

Working Conditions:

• Flexibility to work shifts and weekends.
• Be able to work in coolers for short periods of time.

Vision and Hearing Requirements

• Be able to read H & S signage.
• Be able to hear vehicle horns.
• Some computer work required
