Quality Control Inspector – Machine Shop

Pompano Precision Products, Inc is a busy ISO 9001:2015 certified precision machine shop, in business for over 50 years. Due to the retirement of one of our lead inspectors, we are looking for a qualified Quality Control Inspector. Applicant must have worked in a machine shop/job shop environment and be familiar with inspection of machined parts.

Applicant should ideally be proficient in all the following:

• B/P reading – GDT.
• Discern tolerances of +/- .0001”
• Optical Comparator
• Test Indicator
• Surface Plate
• Drop Indicator
• .0001 Micrometer
• Surface Profilometer
• Bore Gages
• Thread Gaging (Internal/External)
• Rockwell Hardness tester
• Vision and Coordinate measuring machine (VMM/CMM)
• Microscope
• AQL’s
• Device Calibration

Duties will include:

- First Article inspection of machined parts

- In-process inspection of parts during production to maintain quality throughout the run

- Final Inspection of machined parts

Requirements:

- Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation and GD&T is a must.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Coordinate daily work flow with Quality Assurance Manager.

- Proficient at using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments, gages and inspection techniques.

- CMM and Calibration experience a plus.

- Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years mechanical inspection experience.
