Quality Coordinator

The bilingual (Mandarin/English) Quality Coordinator will oversee and ensure the quality of all engineering processes and outputs within the oil engineering projects. This role involves developing and implementing engineering quality management systems, control procedures, working sheet, and conducting engineering audit to ensure compliance with engineering quality management system requirements. This is a 1-year contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems for engineering processes
  • Develop and update quality assurance procedures and working sheet
  • Conduct the engineering discipline audit at various project phase as per the audit plan and feedback engineering team for audit result and take necessary corrective and preventive actions
  • Monitor and track the performance of QPI defined by project, issue non–conformance report as required
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with the established quality control procedure
  • Update the quality documents as required
  • Prepare and review quality requirement, project quality plan, inspection level, quality and certification requirements for various equipment for RFQ/PO package
  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers and 3rd party inspection over the course of project execution in accordance with the quality requirement
  • Review supplier quality manual, quality plan, ITP, quality records, NDE and welding procedures for various equipment
  • Identify the inspection scope, bid evaluation and clarification
  • Prepare inspection assignment package for inspector and man hour estimate
  • Prepare and host the prefabrication meeting and take following up action
  • Attend the supplier weekly meeting, and shop inspection and test as required
  • Coordinate and review the inspection report, issue the non-conformance report as required
  • Conduct the project survey and evaluate the supplier’s performance
  • Provide training and support to engineering teams on quality management systems and best practices
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of quality within the organization
  • Maintain detailed records of engineering quality activities, findings, and corrective actions
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met
  • Facilitate communication between different departments to address quality issues and improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management within the oil and gas industry
  • Bilingual (Mandarin/English)
  • Strong knowledge of industry quality standards and regulations for engineering quality (e.g., API, ASME, ISO, ABSA)
  • Proficient in quality management tools and techniques, such as Six Sigma, Lean, and FMEA
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA) is an asset

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $60.00-$80.00 per hour
