- Provide strategic leadership for the quality management program across all renewable energy construction projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Lead and mentor the quality control team and site construction teams, fostering high performance, professional development, and a culture of continuous improvement
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and site assessments to evaluate quality performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
- Partner with engineering, supply chain, production, and project delivery teams to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements
- Review and verify Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), ensuring equipment and systems meet technical and contractual requirements prior to shipment
- Plan and conduct supplier audits to assess capabilities, quality systems, and compliance with ENGIE and industry standards
- Analyze quality performance data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure quality documentation is accurate, current, and accessible across all projects
- Prepare and present detailed quality performance reports, lessons learned, and improvement plans to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Identify training needs and coordinate quality-related training programs to maintain high standards across teams
- Promote a safety-first culture across all project sites, ensuring alignment with ENGIE’s HSE policies and industry regulations
- Conduct safety observations and collaborate with the HSE team to implement corrective actions and ensure environmental compliance
- Oversee commissioning procedures and testing to ensure systems meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards
- Monitor and report on commissioning progress, challenges, and resolutions
- Identify and mitigate project risks related to site conditions, environmental factors, and resource availability
- Collaborate with ENGIE departments to resolve non-conformities and document lessons learned for future projects
- Serve as a liaison between site teams, senior leadership, clients, and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities
- Provide regular project updates, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and action plans
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Oversee regional resource allocation, optimizing labor, materials, and equipment across projects
- Track and assess project change orders, providing final evaluations to confirm COD (Commercial Operation Date) requirements are met
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field required; advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control, including at least five (5) years in a managerial role, ideally within the renewable energy sector
- Proven experience leading quality efforts on renewable energy construction projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Primavera P6, and PROCORE, with a solid understanding of construction processes and sequencing
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to renewable energy project
