JOB SUMMARY:

This position is to ensure the product compliance with specifications in BOM/Law Tag, before continuing next stage in process

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect aesthetics of in-process and finished products
• Report to the Quality Lead or Supervisor and document material/process discrepancies against BOM/Law Tag and Quality Alerts on formats provided
• Communicate promptly with other QC inspectors about findings to prevent issues.
• Attend on time daily feedback meetings with Quality Lead or Quality Supervisor
• Repair minor non-conformities on defective product when possible (Remove threads, clean small stains, other repairs as needed)
• Generate a Red Travel tag to process a repair and ensure piece is coming back to production
• Collect all Red Tags by the end of the shift and give them to the Quality Lead or Quality Supervisor
• Measure consistently and methodically size of mattresses and box springs with a measurement tape, complete records and input its data in the computer
• Promptly notify major issues to Quality Lead or Quality Supervisor (wet mattresses, short bed, long beds, failure in the internal construction of the piece, etc.)
• Always report to your Quality Lead or Quality Supervisor for direction when production plans change.
• Communicate any repetitive issue to the previous Quality Inspection station and the Quality Lead or Quality Supervisor
• Ensure corrective actions and Quality alerts are implemented on Quality Control scope area
• Maintains a safe, clean and orderly workstation. Sweeps work area and removes debris regularly throughout the shift
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

• No direct reports

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cutting with scissors and reading a tape measure
• Basic computer knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while working with a sense of urgency.
• Use required PPE Personal Protective Equipment: Safety Glasses

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift up to 50 pounds or more with team lifting on a regular basis.
• Frequent and extended standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, and reaching for 8+hours per shift

WORKPLACE & TRAVEL

• This position works out of the Texas plant in a production floor setting.
• Travel not required.
