Quality Manager

Seize the opportunity to shape the Asahi Quality strategy by leading our dynamic Quality Department at our state-of-the-art facility in Albury. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring our business outputs are achieved swiftly and effectively, setting the standard for excellence in a fast-paced environment.


The role focuses on championing the quality and food safety agenda at the site. You will ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and company requirements while spearheading GMP, Quality systems, and sanitation programs. Your decisive and fast-acting approach will drive our quality initiatives forward whilst maintaining the operational efficiencies of the site.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management: Inspire and manage a dedicated team to enhance organisational effectiveness. Develop and deploy innovative solutions to boost productivity and foster a culture of performance and quality.
  • Change Facilitation and Continuous Improvement: Lead the implementation of change initiatives and drive ongoing improvements in quality standards.
  • Quality and Food Safety Management: Oversee and safeguard quality and food safety systems and procedures.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Create and implement the site’s Value in Action (VIA) quality improvement program, ensuring it aligns with the broader Supply Chain strategy.
  • Audit Management: Handle internal and external quality audits, executing corrective actions as necessary to maintain high standards.

About You

You are a proactive and decisive leader with a passion for quality and excellence. Your experience in Quality Management within the FMCG sector equips you with the skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You possess a keen eye for detail and a robust understanding of quality and food safety standards. Your ability to manage and inspire a team, coupled with your deep knowledge of GMP and SOPs, makes you the perfect candidate to drive our quality agenda forward. Your strategic mindset and ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives set you apart, ensuring that our standards not only meet but exceed expectations. Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven extensive experience in Quality Management within an FMCG Manufacturing environment.
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with GFSI standards.
  • Team Leadership: Strong skills in managing and developing teams.
  • Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and site policies.
  • System Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of Quality Systems and Food Safety programs.
