The Opportunity
Join Boeing Defence Australia as a Quality System Specialist on the iconic E-7 Wedgetail program. In this key role, you will ensure our platform meets the highest quality, safety, and regulatory standards by working closely with the wider E-7 team, suppliers, customer and leadership.
This role is perfect for someone with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong administrative abilities, and the confidence to thrive under pressure. You will:
- Assist in reviews of assurance plans and processes aligned with program and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in audits and supplier reviews to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze data and lead root-cause investigations to solve problems proactively.
- Support triaging of quality enquiries and tasking of the team to ensure timely resolution.
- Facilitate Work-In-Progress (WIP) meetings to keep the team aligned and on track.
- Collaborate across teams to promote a culture of quality and safety.

Required Experience
- Proven experience in coordination, quality assurance or quality systems roles, preferably within aerospace, defence, or a highly regulated industry.
- Strong analytical skills preferably with experience in data analysis and root-cause problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple quality enquiries and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience facilitating team meetings or coordinating work-in-progress (WIP) sessions to drive project alignment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting or conducting audits, supplier reviews, and compliance assessments.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9110) and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in the defence sector or having worked for a defence contractor.
