POST OF PERMANENT PART-TIME QUALITY & TRAINING ASSISTANT (CLERICAL OFFICER GRADE)

QUALITY ENHANCEMENT & DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT – GALWAY SERVICES

The Role:

To provide administration support to the Quality Enhancement & Development Department (QED). The successful candidate will work closely with staff in all departments across the services in addition to working with external agencies.

Reporting To/ Responsible To:

Quality & Training Officer/ Head of Department.

Qualifications:

  • A good general education to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent.
  • A recognised qualification in administration e.g. ECDL Qualification or equivalent, is desirable.
  • A full clean driving licence & use of own car is an essential requirement of this post.

Experience:

  • Experience in working in administration is essential.
  • Experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities is an advantage.

  • Touch typing

  • Ability to work as part of a team

Working Hours:

50 hours a fortnight based on a 5 day duty. Hours will be within the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Contracted hours are liable to change between the hours of 8am– 8pm as future service needs require. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual.

Annual Leave:

24 days per annum pro-rata.

Remuneration:

Department of Health Clerical Officer Grade (1st October 2024) - €29,810 x 13 increments - €45, 355 (max) per annum. LSI 1 - €46,948 pro-rata per annum is paid after 3 years on the maximum of the scale.

Tenure:

This post is permanent, part-time, and pensionable.

Base:

QED Galway Services – Woodlands Campus, Renmore, Co. Galway.
