Job Title: Locker Room Manager

Location: Indian Hills Country Club – Mission Hills, Kansas

Department: Locker Rooms

Reports To: Director of Clubhouse Operations

Job Summary:

The Locker Room Manager at Indian Hills Country Club is responsible for overseeing the operation of the men's locker room, women's locker room, and Men's Quivira Room, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all members and guests. In addition to locker room management, this role also involves supervising the club’s on-course Halfway House, ensuring efficient service and high-quality offerings for golfers on the course. The Locker Room Manager will work closely with the food and beverage and clubhouse operations teams to ensure a seamless member experience across both areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locker Room Operations:
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the men's and women's locker rooms, ensuring they are well-maintained, stocked, and provide exceptional service to members.
  • Ensure cleanliness, proper functionality of all facilities (showers, restrooms, saunas, etc.), and address any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Manage locker assignments, towel services, and laundry operations.
  • Provide personalized services to members, such as shoe shining, minor repairs, and other requests.
  • Regularly audit all revenue generating services to ensure revenue is being accurately captured and in a timely manner.
  • Manage the daily lunch buffet in the Quivira Room to ensure stock levels are appropriate, revenue is captured, and food safety protocols are being followed.
  • Halfway House Supervision:
  • Manage the operations of the halfway house, ensuring efficient and high-quality food and beverage service to golfers.
  • Oversee staff, scheduling, inventory control, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure the halfway house menu is appealing, and work with the Director of Food and Beverage as well as Executive Chef on product offerings.
  • Provide a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service to enhance the overall golfing experience.
  • Staff Management & Development:
  • Hire, train, and manage locker room and halfway house staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about their responsibilities and deliver top-notch service.
  • Foster a positive, service-oriented culture among staff, prioritizing professionalism and attentiveness to member needs.
  • Conduct regular staff evaluations and provide coaching and guidance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Member & Guest Experience:
  • Engage with members and guests to anticipate their needs, resolve any issues, and ensure satisfaction with both the locker room and halfway house services.
  • Implement feedback systems to continually improve service delivery and enhance the member experience.
  • Enforce club rules and policies with members and guests as needed in a calm, understanding, and professional manner.
  • Inventory & Budget Management:
  • Maintain accurate inventories for locker room amenities, towels, supplies, and halfway house food and beverages.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained, and items are replenished as needed without over-ordering.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor costs to ensure efficient operations while maintaining high service standards.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure both the locker room and halfway house adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including cleanliness standards, and food handling procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all facilities and equipment are in safe, working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of customer service practices in a golf course or private club setting
  • Training and development skills
  • Staff management and hiring skills
  • Organization and bookkeeping skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business-related field preferred

Experience:

  • 5 years of Hospitality or restaurant management experience required
  • Previous Locker Room experience preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Full time
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
