Fast-paced Internal Medicine practice looking for an energetic team player for a part time position. Fast-paced primary care office with the opportunity to use radiology skills (and learn new skills) to improve the overall health of our patients. We are looking for a Radiology Tech that is reliable and works well individually and in a team. We would love to have you join our family! This position is scheduled on Fridays from 6:50am - 4:00pm.
Perform basic x-rays (chest, knee, back, arm and all major joints)
Perform in-office bone density studies
Use Athena (EHR) to order/document radiologic testing and communicate with staff, provider and patients.
Work every Friday from 7:00am - 4:00pm providing radiologic services to include plain film x-rays and bone density studies.
Fill in for full time Rad. Tech during time off.
Discuss radiology results with patients once reviewed by the provider.
Collaborate with providers to perform necessary radiology testing.
Schedule follow up testing and order additional testing as deemed appropriate by the provider.
Coordinate with assigned provider for continuity of care for patients.
Previous experience in x-ray and bone density testing in the office setting or other medical fields is a plus but not required. Must be able to build rapport with patients with a compassionate and caring demeanor and work independently or as a team.
Familiarity with medical terminology and excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with providers as a patient advocate are necessary.
