Summary:
Radiologic Technology Faculty role blends the art of teaching with the science of radiologic technology, offering a unique opportunity for professionals who are passionate about both education and healthcare. As Radiologic Technology Faculty, you will be responsible for imparting critical knowledge and hands-on skills to aspiring radiologic technologists, ensuring they are well-prepared to enter the workforce and deliver exceptional patient care. This position demands a deep understanding of radiologic procedures, proficiency with advanced imaging equipment, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement curriculum for radiologic technology courses.
- Conduct classroom lectures on various topics related to radiologic technology.
- Supervise and instruct students in clinical and laboratory settings.
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams and practical evaluations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in radiologic technology.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to enhance educational programs.
- Evaluate and update teaching materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and institutional standards.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field (education and experience must align with regulations in the state).
- Previous teaching experience in higher education settings.
- A registry in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required and the candidate must also hold an ARRT CT certification to practice, as required by the State of Tennessee.
- Must have current CPR certification for health care provider.
- Experience with curriculum development.
- Membership in professional radiologic technology associations.
- Demonstrated record of student success and academic achievement.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and digital course delivery.
- Published research or participation in professional conferences.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in radiologic technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant radiologic technology equipment and techniques.
- Commitment to staying current with industry standards and advancements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills.
Additional Information:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $90,000.01 and $104,499.98. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility. The position qualifies for the below benefits:
