Job Purpose

To work as part of the IKON team to test and develop new and existing products for Kingspan, whilst ensuring robust design and performance criteria are delivered.

Key Accountabilities

Project manage new product development and product improvements collaborating with cross-functional teams as part of the development process.

Record and detail development data including reports & drawings.

Analyse and review test data and prototypes to optimise design and product performance.

Conduct research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Provide technical support to other teams and departments as needed.

Work effectively in conjunction with other engineers and management.

Liaise with other department functions including technical, engineering and operations.

Report and present updates on project status and timelines.

Any additional reasonable duties assigned by your line manager that align with your job responsibilities.

Operate in compliance with ISO 37301, 9001, the company handbook and Code of Conduct.

Follow the appropriate EN standards and country codes for product development

Key Skills & Experience

ME OR BEng level 8 in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

2+ years of experience in R&D or related field

Working Knowledge of Solid Works & AutoCAD

Knowledge of FEA, Ideally ANSYS.

Hands on Approach to mechanical testing, building test rigs etc.

EN certification & regulatory compliance knowledge.

Good people and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects through to completion.

Innovative, creative design ability, positive attitude and open minded.

Be willing to travel when there is need.

Full clean Driving licence IRL/UK/EU

Ability to work safely and apply good housekeeping skills in all areas of work

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
