About the Role

MD R&D Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior R&D & NPD Executive to lead the development of innovative skincare, haircare, and personal care products. The ideal candidate should have strong formulation expertise, a deep understanding of cosmetic ingredients, and hands-on experience in bringing products from concept to commercial launch.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Formulation & Development

• Develop and optimize formulations for:
• Face Serums
• Day & Night Creams
• Face Washes
• Toners
• Sunscreens
• Face Masks
• Hair Care Products
• Body Care Products
• Research new ingredients, technologies, and market trends.
• Improve existing formulations based on stability, efficacy, and consumer feedback.

2. New Product Development (NPD)

• Manage the complete NPD process from concept to commercialization.
• Conduct laboratory trials, pilot batches, and scale-up activities.
• Prepare formulation records, product specifications, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with management to develop innovative product concepts.

3. Manufacturer & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with third-party manufacturers and laboratories.
• Source and evaluate raw materials and packaging components.
• Monitor trial batches and commercial production.
• Resolve formulation and manufacturing challenges.

4. Stability & Quality Evaluation

• Conduct:
• Stability studies
• Compatibility studies
• Product performance evaluations
• Packaging compatibility tests
• Ensure product consistency across batches.

5. Regulatory & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with:
• CDSCO Cosmetic Rules
• BIS Standards
• Cosmetic labeling regulations
• Ingredient safety requirements
• Maintain:
• Formulation records
• Stability reports
• Technical specifications
• Product dossiers
• Audit documentation

Required Qualifications

Education:

• B.Sc / M.Sc in:
• Cosmetic Science
• Chemistry
• Biotechnology
• Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Cosmetic Technology

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cosmetic R&D and formulation.
• Experience in skincare and personal care product development is mandatory.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of:

✔ Emulsion systems (O/W and W/O)

✔ Surfactants and cleansing systems

✔ Preservative systems

✔ Botanical extracts and active ingredients

✔ Retinoids, Peptides, Ceramides

✔ Vitamin C derivatives

✔ Hyaluronic Acid systems

✔ Sunscreen filters and SPF formulations

✔ Anti-aging and anti-acne formulations

✔ Stability and compatibility testing

✔ Cosmetic regulatory compliance
