We are looking for a R&D Nutritionist and Project Manager to build, translate and guide the application of nutrition science and knowledge to help inspire and drive the nutritional dimension in new concepts and product innovation for RDSG supported products and projects, protecting Nestle nutrition credibility & reputation. In this position, you will deliver S&T CAT1 projects end-to-end and in alignment with I2L guidelines and Nutrition, Health and Wellness (NHW) initiatives. You will interact proactively with the other functions, especially the S&T and category leads to ensure the delivery of the overall project objectives. You will transfer knowledge among peers and business stakeholders, coach and review the work and build nutrition and regulatory competence amongst RDSG site.
A day in the life of…
Guide nutrition dimension of specific business projects (NDU'S, S&T) & support corporate NHW strategies and commitments. Participate in development of R&D category nutrition strategy:
- Stay on top of nutrition science & knowledge on NHW trends, public health agenda, nutritional landscaping, competitive portfolio to guide NHW strategy.
- Translate & apply findings from nutrition research to develop communication opportunities, nutrition concepts or prototypes
- Contribute into Nestlé Guidelines, Procedures, Commitments, Nutrition Policies, consensus & position paper, expert opinion reviews, technical notes.
- Be the Good Foundation champion and provide implementation support to Business/ R&D partners through working closely with Product developers from two business categories to provide nutritional guidance and inspiration and understand impact of ingredient and process of nutritional benefits.
- Provide technical assistance on NNPS to Nutritionists and AG in the markets
Project Management: During the whole project life according to the CAT1 I2L process:
- Deliver product(s) / process(es) / system(s) / solution(s) with defined scope, quality, time and cost (if applicable)
- Contribute to the future commercial success of the business by considering the whole picture of the project, and by considering NHW and Sustainability commitments
- Effectively control scope changes through proactive and open communication with stakeholders
Networking:
- Create synergies through effective networking with all relevant R&D Units, business partners, markets, SBUs, Head Office and Nutrition Network
- Participate in relevant conferences, be the spokesperson for nutritional content in R&D community for RDSG
Knowledge Transfer:
- Build and share nutrition knowledge to increase the nutrition aptitude of people across the R&D Center and it's partnering manufacturing units
- Increase knowledge and awareness or relevant Nestlé standards, guidelines and policies related to product development
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Manage stakeholders
- Provide recommendations for decision-making with Nestlé decision-makers and business partners internally as well as externally
What will make you successful
- BSc. in Nutrition/Dietetics or a Life Science-related field with nutrition specialization
- Has a minimum of 5 years experience in Nutrition, ideally as an R&D Nutritionist
- Has a minimum of 2 years experience in Project Management
- Operations and/or Corporate Functions and/or market experience is a plus
- Has successfully shown leadership skills within a cross-functional team
- Has worked in a matrix-like structure in a functionally structured environment
- Has proven communication skills (e.g. presents confidently and convincingly to steering committees)
