This position reports to

Chapter Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for modelling and designing the control systems (algorithms) running in our power electronics products, using electrical sensors measuring current and voltage to ultimately control the inverters. Our products range from Power Protection (UPS) to Battery Energy storage to Static frequency converters, power ranges from 300kW to 3600kW. In your role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. The work model for the role is: Onsite / Hybrid #LI-Onsite #LI-Hybrid we can offer flexibility for qualified candidates. You will be mainly accountable for: •Recognized expertise in model-based design using MATLAB Simulink integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work. Familiar with the best practice of Simulink usage including a unit test framework. •Experience in code generation from Simulink would be desirable. •Distilling product requirements into engineering requirements and designing, documenting, and implementing controller models to run on 3-phase power electronics. •Understanding and initiating IP generation in your area of specialization, particularly in power systems, grid connection issues, and grid standards. •Innovating in features and processes to keep us ahead of our competitors. •Supporting the software team in implementing user interfaces and commissioning products on-site. Qualifications for the role

  • You have 5 years of experience (or formal education) in the discipline of control systems engineering: transfer functions, stability, controllability, and the maths underpinning the theory.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of dynamic control systems for 3 phase systems, UPS, Energy Storage Systems, Variable Speed Drives.
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Control Engineering/Maths
  • You are at ease communicating in English
