Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and observant R&D technician to join our dynamic R&D team. The R&D technician will assist in developing, testing, and optimizing metal finishing solutions for the semiconductor and printed circuit board industry. This position requires accurate testing, documentation, compliance with safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and Development:
• Run experiments in the lab as directed by R&D Chemist or Applications Chemist.
• Run Product Demos as directed by Applications Chemist.
• Assist in formulating new products or optimizing existing chemical processes and products for enhanced performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with R&D team to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
• Collaborate with external suppliers as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain an R&D notebook, documenting experiments and observations.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, protocols, and documentation for internal and external use.
• Report findings and recommendations to R&D Chemist or Applications Chemist.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Run QC tests on products using electronic bath analyzer
• Maintain R&D chemical inventory and SDS database

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Associates Degree in Chemistry, or a science related field.
• Experience:
• Experience in a lab environment.
• Experience in electroplating is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of chemical principles.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word)
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Other Requirements:
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
