Job Description:

M&P O’Sullivan has played an integral role in the Irish Food industry for over 100 years. Over the last 10 years, turnover and headcount have doubled, with significant further growth envisaged over the coming few years, which makes this a fantastic time to join the team. We are currently seeking a full-time Reorder Buyer to join our team in Wilton. The successful candidate will work closely with the Trading Manager will order stock, manage stock level and maximise service level to our customer based on an agreed range of suppliers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the placement of weekly orders for your suppliers
  • Coordinate purchase requisitions, raise purchase orders and monitor supplier delivery dates
  • Monitor daily missed sales reports and act accordingly to minimise sales disruption
  • Track incoming inventory and support the warehouse booking activities
  • Develop effective and collaborative relations with suppliers, partners and stakeholders
  • Continually assess product range for your categories in conjunction with the buyer to manage stock levels and product range.
  • Negotiate with local supplier base to ensure best price for the product
  • All admin duties that arise from buying activities e.g. accurate maintenance of records
  • Support the Trading Manager in any ad-hoc activities as required


Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate must possess the following attributes:

  • Customer-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hard-working, reliable and flexible, with the ability to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative.
  • Committed to delivering a high standard of customer service in a busy environment.
  • Strong computer skills, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes.


About the job:

  • Experience is an advantage, 2 years or more ideally.
