Receiver

Reports to: Materials Manager

Department: Receiving

Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, reliable team player that can add value to our Receiving Department. The Receiver is responsible for assisting the Receiving department in the areas of material counting, operating, and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas and work centers.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Coordinates with Head Receiver, Department Managers, and Materials Manager
Operates industrial trucks.
Loading and unloading of materials.
Maintains quality expectation of documentation and reports accordingly.
Transports raw material to production areas.
Conducts daily material cycle counts.
Maintains daily logs and report shortages.
Inspect equipment.
Key member of the inventory team and responsible for assistance in all Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly inventories.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to read, write, and speak English.
High School diploma or equivalent (GED), required.
Exceptional math skills.
Effective communication skills: ability to work with a wide range of people including Team Members, vendors, and management.
Time Management: the ability to multi-task between the different responsibilities will be important due to daily interaction within multiple groups.
Must have a valid California driver's license.
Pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (Spanish)
Analytical skills, ability to solve problems and/or offer alternative solutions.
Must be available to work overtime and weekends.

Salary:

$25 per hour

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.
Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
