Summary:

To perform calibration activities on TGC equipment and to perform receiving inspection tasks for all product received. To ensure that all purchased, in-process, and completed product is manufactured within specifications regarding configuration, dimension, aesthetics, contamination, surface finish, packaging/ labeling, and material properties to meet the companys quality requirements. The position performs inspections on incoming materials and reviews products using internal documents (i.e.: GPS, GMS, GOS and GWI). Also maintain, test, inspect, and calibrate equipment to ensure it is in good working order

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Tests, inspects, and calibrates equipment per GOS 7.6 to ensure it is in good working order;
  • Maintains a recall system for the calibration of all equipment used in verifying product quality requirements;
  • Records and inspects quantity and quality of goods received;
  • Inspect, accept, or reject inbound shipments;
  • Communicates and coordinates with appropriate buyer for product returns/repairs (RMA);
  • Inputs received material information into the TGC ERP (SAP) system and maintains proper documentation per TGC procedures;
  • Performs visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials, components, in-process, and final product based on documented specifications (i.e. drawing, procedure, work instructions, etc.).

Qualifications and Education (Required)

  • High school Diploma or GED; some college or technical training preferred;
  • Minimum of: 2 years experience in a Quality Inspector capacity or, 2 years receiving experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Computer knowledge on word processing and spread sheets;
  • Language Skills: English;
  • Ability to comfortably multitask with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing;
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
