A busy and growing dental practice is seeking a Receptionist / Patient Coordinator to join the team.

This role combines front desk responsibilities with patient communication, administrative support, and proactive follow-up to help ensure an excellent patient experience from first contact through to treatment completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and managing check-in/check-out procedures
  • Booking, rescheduling, and confirming appointments
  • Answering phone calls and managing patient enquiries
  • Managing daily diary flow and helping minimise gaps/cancellations
  • Following up with patients after treatment plans have been provided but not booked on the day
  • Supporting patients with next steps and maintaining follow-up records
  • Managing recall appointments and overdue patient follow-ups
  • Processing PRSI eligibility checks and PRSI claims
  • Handling payments and maintaining accurate patient records
  • Supporting general practice administration

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous receptionist, customer service, or dental experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a busy, patient-focused environment
  • Confident using computer systems and practice software
  • Proactive, professional, and solution-oriented approach
