Nestled in Dublin's historic Liberties, The Pearse Lyons Distillery is a boutique haven for Irish whiskey enthusiasts. We craft small batch Pearse Irish Whiskey with meticulous care and artistry, inviting visitors to experience our rich heritage and traditions first-hand.
As Dublin's only independently owned and family-operated distillery, housed in the iconic former St. James Church, we've been producing Pearse Irish Whiskey since 2017, honouring our visionary founder, Pearse Lyons. Our commitment to innovation led to the introduction of The Gin School in 2022, offering bespoke Irish Gin crafting experiences.
Recognized with the Best Dublin Visitor Experience award in 2019, we're a hallmark of Dublin's cultural landscape, offering immersive journeys through the world of spirits.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Lead Receptionist for our whiskey and gin distillery.
Responsibilities:
- Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls politely and professionally.
- To manage the generic public query email address for the distillery and to answer or forward queries as required.
- Meeting and greeting visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner, including ticket sales and ticket check-in.
- Keep track of all documentation related to cashing up of all locations in the distillery and perform other administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, scanning etc.
- Carry out end of shift cashing up report.
- Ensure the building and office equipment is maintained in a clean, safe, functional, and orderly manner and toPearse Lyons Distillery standards always.
- Keep note of any maintenance issues and ensure all are reported to management promptly.
- Primary floor contact for any subcontractors and cleaners etc.
- Be aware of all Health & Safety, emergency, and security procedures, including evacuation protocols.
- General responsibility for the order and coordination of office supplies and maintenance of the ePOS system formerchandise / retail stock inventory, ordering and stocktake.
- Manage online ticketing systems for tour and tasting experiences at the distillery and gin school.
- Administer bookings for private events and tour operators with internal systems.
- Deal with B2C online channels & sales functions for promotion of the distillery with online tour operators.
- Handle Shopify online store orders from packaging to delivery with our various partners.
- Weekly invoicing
- The ideal candidate must be well-presented and have excellent organizational skills.
- An ability to use their initiative and have the skills and personality to build a rapport with all customers, staff, and suppliers.
- An ability to priorities workload tasks and to be flexible and adaptable depending on circumstances.
- Fluent English. Additional languages would be an advantage.
- Previous experience of office management and/or managing a small team.
- Experience using online sales channels and OTA’s.
- Ability to understand people and to assist them with their enquiries.
- Excellent communication skills, including effective conflict management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €15.50-€16.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
