About the Role

The Records & Archive Registrar oversees the College’s information lifecycle - ensuring secure, accessible, and compliant management across digital and physical formats. The position plays a vital part in ensuring the College runs smoothly and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Provide leadership on all College initiatives which involve the integration of records with other systems so that consistency of records management is applied across the College.
Work closely with key stakeholders to support change management efforts, fostering a collaborative approach to evolving records governance and institutional practices.
Develop and review the records management policies, procedures and associated electronic systems to ensure the reliability of storage (including access for its use in legal proceedings) in appropriate repositories.
Manage active and inactive records and authorise disposal of the records for the College so that access, security, preservation and disposal are appropriate.
Provide reports and undertake audits to ensure compliance with requirements that leads to improvements within the allocated budget.

Skills and Experiences:
To be considered for this role, you should:
Hold, or is willing to undertake, a recognised tertiary qualification in Archives, Records Management, or a related field.
Eligible, or committed to becoming, a Professional Member of the Australian Society of Archivists.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of archival and records management best practices, including ethical, legislative, and procedural standards.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly and persuasively, and to foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
