Recovery Support Worker – Mental Health & Wellbeing Hub
Job Description


Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of people living with mental health challenges? Join EACH and contribute to our Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub as a Support Worker.

  • CERTIFICATE IV in MENTAL HEALTH ESSENTIAL
  • Location: Box Hill / Woiwurrung Nation
  • Position Type: Part-Time, Fixed-Term (with potential for extension)
  • Hourly Rate: $43 - $47.33 + Super + Salary Packaging benefits (up to $18,550)

In this rewarding role, you will help clients achieve their recovery goals by providing low-intensity community support and facilitating access to higher intensity services when needed.

Your role will be varied and will require you to;

  • Client Engagement: Build trust and professional relationships with clients to support them in reaching their recovery goals.
  • Support Services: Encourage clients to engage with mental health, psychosocial rehabilitation, physical healthcare, and social support services.
  • Recovery Framework: Use a Recovery framework to work collaboratively with clients, carers, families, and other supports to set and achieve goals.
  • Practical Support: Provide direct, hands-on support to clients to help them maintain independent living skills.
  • Group Activities: Plan and implement structured groups and activities to support client self-development in line with recovery objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team and external stakeholders to ensure clients receive the highest quality service.
  • Progress Reviews: Participate in regular reviews of client progress toward their recovery goals.

Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health (essential).
  • Strong understanding of mental health and the Australian healthcare system (public or private).
  • Experience as a Support Worker or Case Worker in mental health.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and work collaboratively with carers, families, and other service providers.
  • A flexible, empathetic approach with a commitment to client-centered care and recovery-focused practice.

Mandatory Requirements

  • A current Working With Children’s Check is essential
  • Have full Australian working rights and a National Police Clearance
  • Australian Drivers Licence
