At Daughters of Sarah Senior Community, we’re looking for a motivated, relationship-driven professional to join our Human Resources team as a recruitment and Engagement Specialist. This pivotal role will enhance our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent while contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional care to seniors. You will play a crucial part in shaping our workforce and fostering a positive workplace culture.

What You’ll Do:
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand and respond to staffing needs across the organization.
- Source top talent by creatively identifying and engaging qualified candidates through online platforms, community outreach, and job fairs.
- Craft compelling job postings that reflect our culture and attract the right people to our mission.
- Develop recruiting pipelines through relationships with schools, training programs, and professional organizations (especially Nursing, CNA, and trade programs).
- Oversee our applicant tracking system (ATS) — maintaining accurate candidate records, ensuring compliance, and training managers as needed.
- Screen and interview candidates with a focus on both skill and fit, sharing the many benefits of joining the Daughters of Sarah family.
- Facilitate the full onboarding process, from offer through orientation, ensuring every new hire has a smooth, welcoming start.
- Lead our biweekly new hire orientations, coordinating presenters, materials, and logistics while representing HR with professionalism and warmth.
- Check in regularly with new hires to gather feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and support their early success.
- Collaborate with and support the HR Generalist and HR Director on department initiatives and projects.
- Perform other HR duties as needed to support the overall goals of the organization.
What You’ll Bring
- An associate’s degree in Human Resources or business is required with a bachelor’s degree highly desirable.
- Two years of recruiting and onboarding experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- A friendly, patient, and positive attitude—especially when working with people from different backgrounds.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce, KRONOS, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of UKG HR and payroll system a plus.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Organized, strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience.
Physical Requirements
- Typical office environment; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. as part of normal office activities.
