Reentry And Aftercare Coordinator

Position Title:

Reports to: Program Manager

Position Summary: Provide effective Christian leadership by implementing effective programming, case management, and residential development by implementing strategies and methods that produce consistent results. Discipling men is the backbone of this position.

Duties:

  • Recruit participants into R & A program.
  • Take the lead in establishing programming policies and procedures to best fit program objectives of transitioning men successfully in Christ back into community.
  • Reviews and evaluates current programs and operations and procedures for needed change. Submit to Program Manager for final approval.
  • Assists leadership in making certain all programming is pertinent and consistent with the FreedomWorks mission and values of the organization.
  • Working and overseeing the Associate Coordinator for residential accountability and maintenance of FreedomWorks property.
  • Development of new programs and initiatives relating to existing and future programs and services.
  • Work directly with Intake in maintaining a database and process all prospective FW clients.
  • Maintain prospective FW client database that includes email, phone, and personal contact information.
  • Take the lead in all correspondence of all prospective clients.
  • Overseeing the application processes, interviewing of potential participants, intake orientations sessions with new residents
  • Collaborate with mentors and volunteers ensuring all programs have proper supervision and leadership
  • Ensuring weekly contact and documenting program progression of participants in their particular Phase
  • Oversees all document all covenant infractions in the Daily Log and report to the leadership as needed
  • Ensure case management records and weekly documentation for program progression for each program participant is in order.
  • Implement discipline procedures when necessary/coordinate with other staff
  • Overseeing resident’s financial obligations are individually received.
  • Maintaining county jail, prison and treatment facility outreach.
  • Assist in development and the facilitation of mentor training
  • Assist program staff in coordination of all outreaches, events and activities
  • Responsible to ensure all programs and activities stay within the budgets
  • Maintain a healthy relationship with all residential referral sources and collaborates
  • Assists as needed with the development of FW public relations; Churches, both private and public sources for building a collaborative base.
  • Oversee a list of supportive resources for residents

Qualifications:

  • Believe that in Christ believers can be reconciled and restored to God, their families and their communities regardless of race, economic status, age or background
  • Proven managerial experience: strong leadership skills that are able to unite residents, give them vision, serve alongside, correct in Christian love and train/teach as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: able to work with all types of people in a professional manner and able to remain calm in crisis situations.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Resourceful: able to search out answers if don’t have them
  • Teachable: if lacking a skill willing to learn how to do it.
  • Associates Degree in health or human services study or one year of experience with the target population served or certified peer specialist
  • Must complete VA mandated reporter training in orientation.
  • Must complete DHS orientation training once provided.
  • Must pass Background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
