Supermac's Ireland is seeking a dedicated Refrigeration/Catering Equipment Technician to join our team of professionals committed to delivering top-quality service.

Job location: Ireland

Role Overview:
As a Refrigeration/Catering Equipment Technician, you will work closely with the Service Manager to service and maintain all catering equipment throughout the southern region. Your primary responsibility will be the repair and ongoing maintenance of our equipment, ensuring all work complies with company policies. This role requires travel and availability for emergency breakdown call-outs.

Your Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience in refrigeration and catering equipment servicing and maintenance.
  • A hands-on approach with a proven track record of delivering reliable and high-quality work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with accurate record-keeping and maintenance logs.
  • Experience with stock control and ordering parts, in addition to technical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with catering and refrigeration equipment.
  • Repairing and maintaining a wide range of catering equipment, including Ice Cream and Milkshake Machines, Henny Penny Fryers and Grills, Taylor Grills, Fry Masters, Pizza Ovens, Hot Counters, Ovens, Dishwashers, Toasters, and Refrigeration units.
  • Operating, maintaining, and repairing all relevant equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Performing routine and preventive maintenance on all catering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspecting equipment regularly to detect wear, damage, and faults, and carrying out minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
  • Managing equipment inventories, including storing, retrieving, assembling, and disassembling equipment as necessary.
  • Holding a full, clean driving license.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to work across various types of catering equipment.
  • Adhering to all company standards, procedures, and safety regulations, and ensuring colleagues do the same.
  • Maintaining high-quality service standards in collaboration with the Service Manager and Store Managers.
  • Building positive relationships with management and staff to foster a motivated and cooperative working environment.
  • Being a committed and experienced professional in the field of catering equipment servicing and maintenance.
