Job Title: Regional EHS Specialist
Location: West Branch, IA
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation:
Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 annually
Schedule:
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Scope of Role:
This role provides regional EHS support across warehouse, distribution, and logistics operations, with West Branch as the primary site. The Regional EHS Specialist will focus on execution, compliance, and field-level support, reinforcing existing safety programs rather than leading a full program redesign. Regional travel to 3-4 facilities is required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate's degree considered with additional experience
3 to 5+ years of safety experience, ideally within:
Distribution centers
Warehousing environments
Manufacturing-adjacent or logistics operations
Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards
Experience supporting fall protection programs
OSHA certifications or safety credentials preferred, not required
Willingness to travel regionally across Iowa and parts of MN, WI, and MO
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and field observations across warehouse and distribution operations
Enforce and support OSHA General Industry compliance, including fall protection standards
Partner closely with DOT Compliance teams to support truck traffic, dock operations, and fleet safety
Reinforce and support existing safety policies and procedures
Travel to regional facilities while maintaining a strong presence at the West Branch site
Serve as a safety resource for site leadership and frontline employees
Skills:
Strong field presence with the ability to influence safe behaviors
Effective communication skills with both leadership and hourly employees
Practical, solutions-oriented approach to safety compliance
Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional stakeholders
Knowledge Base:
Solid understanding of OSHA General Industry regulations, warehouse and distribution safety practices, fall protection requirements, and DOT-adjacent safety considerations.
