Job Description: Manage the Quality function at the Manufacturing facilities in Fort Worth, TX, USA and Leduc, AB, Canada to ensure actions are taken to maintain and improve product quality and customer satisfaction. The Regional Quality Manager is responsible for working with the Senior Director of Quality on the development, implementation, and evaluation of Ulterra’s corporate quality management system to achieve goals, objectives, and continuous improvement for Ulterra.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Senior Director of Quality to implement, maintain, and improve the Ulterra Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with customer and API/ISO requirements.
  • Leads and manages the Facility Quality Control Managers; providing coaching, development, training and support needed for the facility Quality Control programs.
  • Develop and perform QMS training of Ulterra personnel.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Quality with managing the QMS certification programs at the North America facilities.
  • Manage the QMS internal auditing program in North America.
  • Manage the Supplier Quality Audit program for the North America facilities.
  • Define and monitor quality performance KPIs for each North America facility.
  • Perform data analysis of QMS processes to ensure continual improvement and meet Quality Objectives.
  • Investigate customer complaints and recommend actions.
  • Manage the Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions programs to ensure issues are addressed and actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure documents are being maintained at the North America facilities per Ulterra Control of Documents procedures.
  • Ensure records are being retained at the North America facilities per Ulterra Control of Records procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manager role within the quality assurance or quality control disciplines. Preferably in the manufacturing or oil and gas sector.
  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university or adequate work experience in a related field.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other word/data processing software.
  • Must be driven and a self-starter.
  • Able to work with limited direction.
  • Must be able to effectively train others.
  • Preferred to have training and/or experience with API and ISO QMS certifications (API Spec Q1, ISO 9001).
  • Preferred to have training and/or experience performing quality internal audits.
  • Must be able to travel to each facility within the region.
  • Able to manage a team of up to 20 employees.
