SUMMARY
GLVT specializes in park construction and playground installations through our two
divisions: GLV Construction and Parkcraft. At Parkcraft, our core focus is enhancing
communities and bringing people together. We believe in building inclusive spaces
where lasting memories are made.
This is a long-lead, relationship-driven role focused on the Northern Alberta region. You
will act as the face of Parkcraft, ensuring we are the first call for every municipality,
developer, school division, and First Nations group in the area. Your goal is to be a
dependable partner who captures the client's vision and site technicalities so our
internal team can design the perfect play space.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Ground Game: Relationship and Community Building
● Territory Ownership: Developing a strategy to establish a trusted brand presence
throughout Northern Alberta.
● Discovery Meetings: Meeting face-to-face with City Councils, Park Boards, school
divisions, and First Nations groups to understand their community goals and budget
timelines.
● Landscape Architect Partnership: Building genuine, long-term relationships with
Landscape Architects to ensure our inclusive products are part of their early
designs.
● Educational Outreach: Leading Lunch and Learn presentations that inspire
stakeholders with the value of high-quality play and park amenities.
Collaboration: Capturing the Vision
● Technical Site Discovery: Visiting sites to capture comprehensive data,
measurements, and client needs.
● Internal Synergy: Partnering closely with our internal Design and Estimating teams;
you provide the "field intel" and they build the technical packages.
● Seamless Handoff: Ensuring all client specifications are communicated clearly to
maintain our high standards of craftsmanship.
Sales Execution: Integrity and Growth
● Presentation and Closing: Leading warm, charismatic pitch meetings to secure
signed contracts and initial deposits.
● HubSpot Discipline: Maintaining accurate records of your relationships and project
stages in HubSpot to keep the whole team aligned.
● Ethical Conduct: Upholding our core value of "doing what you say" in every
interaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Culture Fit: We hire for harmony, ethics, and trainability first—80% of our focus is on
who you are as a person.
● Passion for Play: You are genuinely passionate about kids' play and community
development.
● The Sales Spirit: You are a "hunter" style self-starter who is also warm and
approachable.
● Technical Understanding: You have an interest in or experience with technical
landscape design, installation, or civil construction.
● Valued Assets: Backgrounds in teaching, grant writing, or technical roles like LAT,
CET, or LA are highly preferred.
● Communication: You are an exceptional communicator who can captivate a
playground committee or a professional firm alike.
● High Mobility: You enjoy being on the road and are comfortable with travel
expectations of 50–75%.
SALARY AND HOURS
● Position: Full-time, year-round role.
● Compensation: Competitive base salary plus commissions.
● Work Style: Mixed-remote arrangement with significant time spent in the field
across Northern Alberta.
