  • Permanent roles available from 0.4 - 0.6FTE (16 - 24 hours a week)
  • Shifts – Morning, Afternoon and Nights, Monday to Sunday

About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurses to join our team in Children’s Emergency Care (CEC) to care for our pēpi (infants) and tamariki (children) who are acutely unwell, injured, or need acute assessment and treatment related to a complex or chronic condition.

This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who want to work as part of a committed team in a fast-paced paediatric acute care environment, where there are challenges and opportunities, where you can see the difference you make, and where no two shifts worked are ever the same.

About the Service

Children’s Emergency Care has been designed especially for tamariki and whānau. This is reflected not only in the child and family friendly environment, but also by the collaborative way the multidisciplinary healthcare team work together in partnership with whānau to provide the best possible health outcomes for the tamariki who spend time there.

About you

If you are passionate about wanting to provide acute care for children and supporting them and their families in a significant way, then we would love you to apply for this rewarding position to be part of our CEC nursing team.

  • Paediatric or emergency nursing experience is desirable
  • Ability to work all shifts Morning, Afternoon and Nights – Monday to Sunday
  • Demonstrate well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and commitment to family centred care
  • Have a focus on caring for the wellbeing of tamariki and whānau
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
