Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We currently have vacancies in our 22 bed Acute Cardiac Care Unit which covers Auckland but also reaches out Nationally. If you have 12 months post graduate experience and are interested in being part of a team committed to delivering fast paced, acute cardiac care then we would love to hear from you. Our unit provides care for patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome; Heart Rhythm issues; Structural heart problems and those requiring Heart Transplants.
We are very fortunate to work together, as part of a specialised unit, within our cardiovascular directorate and have close working relationships with our Cardiac Investigation Unit; Cardio thoracic and Vascular wards and Cardiovascular Intensive Care unit. As well being able to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care for patients, this environment also provides great opportunities for career progression for our team.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
Ideally you will be a Registered Nurse with at least two years’ recent hospital experience. Recent Acute General Medical or Surgical experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, ability to work well in a team and innovative nursing focus are essential for this role and will determine your success in this challenging and rewarding position. We provide comprehensive orientation and ongoing support to all our new team members.
